Episode #16 - Spotted - This Week in Healthcare

It's time for the healthcare weekly round-up 🤝

📌 Welcome to Edition #16 of "Spotted! - This Week in Healthcare", and I'm your host: Vivek Nanda.

Each week I share the interesting things that I spotted in the world of healthcare.

Let's go...

Edition #16

--

First up, we have Fair Square Medicare.

Enrolling in Medicare isn’t always a smooth process. The San Francisco-based company creates tech-enabled services to help seniors find health insurance options and offers concierge support.

The company launched a new generative AI platform called Vox to further support seniors enrolling in Medicare.

The AI voice agent screens customers before they talk to a sales agent. It answers calls from potential customers, asks questions to understand their eligibility for Medicare and collects insights to direct them to the best plan for them.

Isn't that awesome? Go check them out.

Next up, meet Hera Fertility (Techstars '23).

9 million Americans face infertility related issues each year.

50% of infertility cases are due to men.

Hera Fertility is revolutionizing Men's Health with At-Home solutions for testing, diagnosis, and treatment of infertility.

Hera's app-based approach uses a test-treat-monitor model, and helps improve infertility 50% of the time.

Just last month, I launched my new series where I delve into the minds of the game changers, the innovators, the visionaries, and the pioneers of the healthcare industry.

The show is called: The Uprising Show.

The 11 episodes that we released includes guests from health plans like SCAN and Jefferson Health Plans to founders of early stage companies like Klinic, Verto Health, ShiftRx, MedCompanion® | The Virtual Solution Shaping The Future of Healthcare, and so on.

We have gotten over 60,000 views in the last 50 days across all podcast networks and YouTube.

Check out all the episodes on www.theuprisingshow.com.

Last but not the least, meet Etta.io.

Etta.io is a computer vision company that uses AI to help specialists detect tumors and deadly diseases that are challenging to see with the naked eye.

Etta's AI-based specialist decision support tool instantly identifies skin and bladder cancers, at the point of care, during Total Body Skin Exams and Cystoscopies.

Very promising - Go check them out!
